Vanilla Ninja
A Vanilla Ninja debütáló albuma 2003 Májusában lett kiadva. A fent említett számok és az új rádiós sláger, a "Guitar and Old Blue Jeans" és a többi szám is nagyon sikeres lett. 2003 őszén a Vanilla Ninja elment Németországba és kiadták az első nemzetközi számukat, a "Tough Enough"-ot. És azóta nagyon sikeresek lettek. A következő számuk a "Don't Go Too Fast" és "Liar" volt. "The Dome", "Top of The Pops" és "McChartShow". 2004 tavaszán a lányok egy koncertkörúton vettek részt 2 híres német csapattal - Overground és Preluders. A Vanilla Ninja harmadik albuma, a "Blue Tattoo" 2005 februárban fog megjelenni.
Vanilla Ninja was founded in summer 2002. The TopTen record company conceived the idea of putting together a new and different girl band, and the producers started a search of suitable singer candidates. The first to be picked out was Maarja Kivi (18), known to many music lovers as a winner of several song contests with a successful debut in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest's Estonian final. The next were Lenna Kuurmaa (19), picked from among the semi-finalists of the Fizz Superstar contest, Piret Järvis (20) and Katrin Siska (20). Now it was time to think about the music, and at this point, composer Sven Lõhmus joined the project. The first songs of Vanilla Ninja, "Nagu rockstaar" and "Purunematu" were included in the TopTen albums "Autumn Hit 2002" and "Winter Hit 2003". The third song "Club Kung Fu", however, was a real success, reaching the national finals of the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest and winning 37,044 votes of the public, nearly half of the total. Vanilla Ninja's debut album was issued in May 2003. In addition to the above-mentioned songs, it includes a new radio hit "Guitar and Old Blue Jeans" as well as a number of other songs. In autumn 2003, Vanilla Ninja went to Germany and their first international single "Tough Enough" was released. And since then their success began. The next single was "Don't Go Too Fast" and in May "Liar" came out. Vanilla Ninja's first international album, "Traces of Sadness" was released in June, 2004. The album with the DVD "Traces of Sadness - Live In Estonia" has sold gold for now. And has figured in top 3 German Albums. But just after the release of "Traces Of Sadness" a sad news came - Maarja Kivi decided to leave the band. The new girl to take Maarja's place was a Triinu Kivilaan(15). In August, 2004 the last single from "Traces Of Sadness" - a ballad "When The Indians Cry" came out. This was the most successful single from "Traces Of Sadness", it figured in German single charts among top 10. In November, 2004, Vanilla Ninja released a totally new song - "Blue Tattoo". Vanilla Ninja has performed in many popular German music shows, like "The Dome", "Top Of The Pops" and "MChartshow". In spring, 2004, the girls were on a tour with two popular German bands - Overground and Preluders. In spring 2005 Vanilla Ninja can be seen in Kiew, representing Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest. Vanilla Ninja's third album - "Blue Tattoo" will be released in February, 2005. |
